Here I go again with the metal song! Sorry if it’s becoming irritating, but I figured it was the best to show a direct comparison between my guitars and mods.
This video features my Epiphone Les Paul Custom Alpine, but it now has been fitted with DiMarzio humbuckers. A PAF Pro in the neck, and a Tone Zone on the bridge. I love these new pickups..awesome tone and the hum canceling is also great. My amp (Spider 112) doesn’t however do them justice. I’ve played it through my bandmates Triple Rectifier and is sound huge.

An original 1970 Les Paul Custom that was specially ordered from the factory as a three pickup model. This fantastic “player” guitar was professionally re-finished, probably during the eighties. She weighs just 9.50 lbs. One-piece mahogany body with carved maple top, three-piece mahogany neck with a medium-to-thin profile. White-bound ebony fretboard with 22 thin ‘fretless-wonder’ frets and inlaid pearl block position markers. Three patent number humbucking pickups with strong outputs of 7.68k, 7.76k, and 8.51k. The potentiometers are stamped “137 6852″ (CTS December 1968). ABR-1 non-retainer Tune-O-Matic bridge with metal saddles and separate stud tailpiece. Housed in a modern Gibson brown hardshell case with pink plush lining (9.50).
